One for all – all for Nissen

Fasadgruppen’s subsidiaries SH Bygg, Mjøndalen Mur og Puss, Malercompagniet Oslo, and Murpartnern are working together on Hartvig Nissen School in Oslo.
Leveraging each other's expertise is a strength when working as a team. Right now, four subsidiaries are collaborating on the renovation of Hartvig Nissen School in Oslo. The project manager at SH Bygg AS emphasizes that everyone benefits from the partnership.
Hartvig Nissen School, often referred to simply as Nissen, is a high school in Oslo founded in 1849. The historic school is currently undergoing renovation, and two new buildings are also being constructed on the site. The renovation is led by Veidekke, one of Scandinavia’s largest construction and civil engineering companies.
"As part of our collaboration with Veidekke, we are responsible for a range of tasks within the project. Our specific roles include exterior and interior masonry work, interior tiling, and exterior painting," says Simen Andreassen, Project Manager at SH Bygg AS.
Diverse expertise in renovation and new construction
SH Bygg AS is a Norwegian construction and contracting company specializing in both new builds and renovation projects. They undertake projects of various sizes and types in both the private and public sectors. The company carries out extensive interior and exterior renovations, modernizing older buildings to meet contemporary standards and safety regulations. This includes facade restoration, energy efficiency improvements, and interior refurbishments.
"Additionally, we are responsible for exterior brick and granite facades, with Mjøndalen Mur og Puss serving as our subcontractor for brickwork. These various tasks require close and structured collaboration between our teams and subcontractors to ensure quality at every stage of the project."
Specialists in masonry and painting
Mjøndalen Mur og Puss is a craftsman company specializing in masonry and plastering work in the Mjøndalen area. SH Bygg AS is also working with Malercompagniet Oslo, a painting firm offering a wide range of painting and surface treatment services for both private and commercial clients in the Oslo region. Their services include facade renovation, building restoration, cleaning, repairs, and surface preparation, ensuring high-quality and long-lasting results.
The fourth subsidiary involved is Murpartnern, a Norwegian construction company specializing in masonry and facade work. The company offers a broad range of services within brick and plaster work for both new construction and renovations. Their expertise includes brick and stone facades as well as interior masonry, with a focus on delivering high-quality results adapted to the Norwegian climate. They often collaborate with larger contractors on complex projects in the Oslo region.
Strong collaboration in demanding environments
Working together in a project that demands both high-quality execution and deep expertise in each specialized area requires a well-coordinated effort. According to Simen Andreassen, teamwork is crucial to achieving the common goal.
"The collaboration within the group, where we have used sister companies as subcontractors, has worked exceptionally well. In the long run, strong partnerships between companies can be highly beneficial, facilitating smoother operations and contracts that simplify the construction process."
