Fasadgruppen’s subsidiary FRONT commissioned to install SmartFront on Brf Guldsmeden in Sundsvall

Brf Guldsmeden consists of four high-rise buildings with a total of 258 apartments and 41 commercial units. The buildings were constructed between 1964 and 1965, and like many other properties from the same period, they require upgraded ventilation and energy efficiency improvements.

With the SmartFront method, the entire facade is renovated while a new FTX ventilation system is installed. Since most of the SmartFront work is carried out from the exterior, no evacuation is required for the many residents and businesses within the buildings.

The project will begin in spring 2025 and is expected to continue for just over two years, with an order value exceeding SEK 130 million.

"For several years, we have been in dialogue with the housing association regarding the need for energy renovation and the best way to address the buildings’ inadequate ventilation. We are pleased to have earned their trust to install SmartFront, which will significantly improve the living environment with cleaner air and lower energy consumption," says Stefan Forsberg, Product Manager for SmartFront at Fasadgruppen.

As demands for improved energy performance in buildings increase, Fasadgruppen will continue to expand the SmartFront method in Sweden and other Nordic markets.
