Pioneer in facade maintenance and laser cleaning
The Danish company Cortex, acquired by Fasadgruppen in 2020, is not only a leading player in facade cleaning but also sets the bar high in laser technology with its focus on quality and innovation.
With extensive experience, Cortex takes on complex projects, often working on some of Denmark's and the Nordic region’s oldest buildings, challenging conventional methods with laser cleaning. Innovative thinking has been a key driver of their success.
Founded in 1991, Cortex is today renowned for its expertise in facade maintenance. Facade cleaning plays a crucial role in renovation and restoration processes, as the company efficiently removes old paint layers, pollution, mortar, dirt, graffiti, and plaster. Initially, laser cleaning technology was considered unstable and time-consuming, discouraging many from adopting the method. However, Cortex chose to lead the way, experimenting with the technology despite its early challenges.
"Laser technology is more environmentally friendly because it uses electricity instead of diesel, and it significantly reduces waste. The laser removes only the dirt, without the need for abrasive materials or water, which traditional cleaning methods require," explains CEO Mikkel Schultz.
Technology alone is not enough
Technical solutions alone do not ensure success. Cortex also prioritizes strong communication in every project, fostering engagement among all involved parties.
This collaborative approach ensures that all aspects of a project are carefully planned and that solutions are tailored to each building’s unique requirements. In doing so, Cortex delivers not just new technology but a comprehensive strategy, guaranteeing high-quality results in every project.
